"Welcome to the Manor of East Lenham"
The talk is based on professional research which was carried out for the Barr Family some years ago. Based on this research we re-count the history of this place and are able to paint a picture of the building and its contents which once stood near the East Lenham pond.

to the parish of Lenham, the village with its medieval market square, the chalky hillside of the Kent Downs above it, the heath with its open skies and the fruitful land of Liverton. We invite you for a stroll through Lenham's history and heritage. Perhaps you can walk through this place with open eyes and see the footsteps of people who walked here before you and made the place what it is today. It will be up to us, both, old and new residents, to take Lenham into a future where the past is cherished for its merits, the natural environment is safeguarded and community thrives,
